Team GPS makes it easy to automatically recognize and reward your team for key moments and outstanding service. With Automated Awards, points can be awarded to employees based on milestone dates or specific customer feedback events. This article outlines how to configure these awards and what each type of automation does.

 

Overview of Automated Awards

There are two categories of automated awards in Team GPS:

  1. Time-Based Awards – Triggered by key dates.

  2. Action-Based Awards – Triggered by customer feedback.





Time-Based Awards

These awards are triggered automatically based on information from the employee profile:

  • Welcome Award:
    Triggered when a new employee is added to Team GPS.
    Based on the Date Joined field on the Employee page.

  • Birthday Award:
    Triggered annually on the employee's birthday.
    Uses the Date of Birth field from their employee profile.

  • Work Anniversary Award:
    Triggered annually on the employee's work anniversary.
    Uses the Date Joined field on the Employee page.

For each of these, you can:

  • Toggle the award on or off.

  • Customize the award message.

  • Set the number of points to be awarded.


Action-Based Awards

These awards are tied to customer satisfaction responses:

  • Positive CSAT Award:
    Automatically awards points when a client submits a green smiley face CSAT response.
    Awarded to the employee associated with that survey.

  • Positive CES Award:
    Triggered when a client gives a 6 or 7 on the CES (Customer Effort Score) scale.
    Awarded to the employee tied to that interaction.

Just like with time-based awards, users can:

  • Toggle these awards on or off.

  • Customize the award message.

  • Set the number of points that will be issued.


How to Set Up Automated Awards

  1. Navigate on the left-hand panel under Admin Settings > Open the Rewards & Recognition Section
    Click on Awards to configure Automated Awards.

  2. Configure Each Automated Award
    For each award listed, you can:

    • Enable or disable it using the toggle switch.

    • Edit the description that appears when the award is given.

    • Set how many points the employee receives.

Changes save automatically, and the awards will now trigger based on the configured rules.

  • Keep descriptions clear and celebratory to boost morale.

  • Consider aligning point values with your broader rewards program to maintain consistency.

  • Regularly review and update messages to keep them engaging.
